From first drop-in to the world stage

Kim Lea Müller didn’t grow up racing BMX or spend her childhood chasing tricks. She took a beginner’s class at her local skatepark in 2017, got hooked and basically never stopped riding. “I went to the skatepark whenever I could, rode with friends, had a good time and learned new tricks,” she remembers. Pretty simple beginnings for a rider who would go on to become one of Germany’s leading names in BMX Freestyle Park. The Remscheid native has packed a lot into those years. After taking European silver in 2022 and 2023, competing at the Paris 2024 Olympics and scoring her first X Games bronze that same year, Kim finally grabbed the European title in Eindhoven in 2025. She backed it up with second overall in the 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup and kept the podium streak rolling in 2026 with bronze at both X Games Sacramento and X Games Chiba. But contests are only part of why she rides. “BMX makes me happy and gives me freedom,” says Kim, who loves travelling with her bike, discovering new countries and skateparks, filming edits and shooting photos just as much as pushing her contest runs. That mix of progression and good times pretty much sums her up. Ask her friends and they’ll tell you she’s the optimistic one who laughs a lot.Kim has trusted TSG protection since her very first days on a BMX, so having her on the team feels like things coming full circle.
