We do our best to reduce the consequences of accidents for athletes. But protective gear unfortunately cannot prevent all injuries and that’s the reason why we support Stay Strong. Stephen Murray’s story can’t be told enough!

What started out as a simple T-shirt worn by BMX pro riders to show support and solidarity for Stephen Murray has developed into something much greater. Stephen has been paralyzed from the neck down since 2007 when he crashed his bike. From the first original T-shirt with the “Stay Strong” print, a growing range of clothing, bike parts and accessories has developed. The royalties from “Stay Strong” all go to Stephen and his family. At the same time, he uses the brand to inspire people across the globe from all walks of life: “We’re not here for a long time. We’re here for a f@@kin good time!”

Making the correct choice of helmet is essential in action sports

TSG has cooperated with Stay Strong since 2012. The project receives royalties for each TSG “Stay Strong” helmet sold. TSG does their best to reduce the consequences of accidents for action sports athletes. But protective gear unfortunately cannot prevent all injuries and that’s the reason why we support Stay Strong. The people behind the brand inspire others to be strong and overcome adversities. Stephen Murray’s story can’t be told enough!

We are very happy that we chose the right brand to work with

Marco Dell’Isola, Stay Strong Brand Director, told us: “Stay Strong’s brand mission is to inspire people to overcome adversity in life, digging deeper in times of need whilst living life to the full each and every day. The brand started on the back of Stephen Murray’s tragic accident in 2007 which left him paralysed from the neck down, so promoting safety has always been a top priority for us. Making the correct choice of helmet is essential in action sports. So for us to have had the support of TSG for the last few years, and to now offer our third collaboration helmet together makes us very happy that we chose the right brand to work with.”

TSG’s Max Schrom sets new standards

World record
distance jump

2 meters standing jump on a normal road bike

TSG ambassador Max Schrom likes to push limits. Read here how the German trial bike pro sets his 4. world record during a tv show.

Photos by: Andreas Braun

I. Passion from the very beginning

Max started early, he was only 5 years old when he made his first experiences on a trial bike. With 6 he won his first trophy. Numerous titles and podiums followed the next years. Trial mountain biking is a discipline in which the rider attempts to pass through an obstacle course without setting foot to ground. So, it is all about balance, concentration, body- and bike control.

After more than a decade of tackling almost all national and international competitions, entertainment is my focus today. I want to inspire people at the highest level

total control

II. Collecting world records

Today Max focuses more on entertainment, pushes his limits during tv shows, produces video content and collects world record titles. In 2012, he sets the record for the most consecutive bicycle back wheel pogo hops. A total of 180 jumps! Later in the year he got the record for the fastest time to traverse 9 oil barrels riding a trial bike. It took him 24.975 sec. In 2015 Max jumped over a total of 31 people lying flat on the ground within 1 minute.

III. Ready for new challenges

For his 4. world record attempt Max laid aside his trial bike. He is performing more and more tricks on a standard road bike with thin wheels, so it was about time proving his skills. He claimed he would be able to perform a standing jump on his road bike over 2 meters between 2 obstacles.

Perfectly equipped with his Trailfox helmet, Trail Gloves and our bike apparel Max was ready to impress the audience of a Sunday afternoon show in the german tv with some of his stunts.

But then it was time for the real action.

Max fully concentrated on his back wheel before the jump

That was a pretty close thing! Max landed on the edge of the obstacle but mastered it with bravery and a hell of control
