“Snowboard movies, like snowboarding itself, run the full spectrum of aesthetic quality, technicality and possibility. On the one hand you have grand, sweeping, multimillion-dollar epics like “The Art of FLIGHT” shot in exotic, faraway locations that many of us will never get to go to, featuring a level of riding that most of us will achieve only in our dreams. And that’s the point — movies like this are for the wanderlust-obsessed dreamers, the international vagabonds, and the hard-core backcountry pow hunters among us.”
“On the other end of the spectrum you have gritty, low-budget movies like Think Thank’s “Ransack Rebellion” and Peep Show’s “Winter Wars” featuring riding that most of us will never have the guts to step to, but is easier to imagine doing because it’s shot in backyard locations that we see around us every day. Movies like this are for the hard-core shreds, the dirtbag truck dwellers, and the kids who move to mountain towns with 100 bucks in their pockets, pack into sketchy, overcrowded apartments, and work crappy jobs that barely pay enough to make ends meet, just so they can snowboard every day.
You have to have both, because all these movies together tell the full story of snowboarding. But outside of our little world the big-time movies are the ones that get all the accolades. This award is the balance. There are a lot of crews out there trying to make something out of nothing, putting together movies with very little money and a whole lot of heart. The most impressive of all of them are the women of Peep Show.”

Congrats to our snowboard lady Silvia Mittermueller, taking gold at the New Zealand Winter Games yesterday.
After a challenging season with a dislocated elbow followed by a rolled ankle, Silvia was happy to turn a page today taking the top spot amongst the women.
She attributed her success today in part to a desire to avoid hitting the knuckle and further injuring her ankle. “I knew I had to go big today to avoid injury,” she said. “After a series of injuries and some bad luck I am really happy with today’s results and hope I’ve shown the German national team selectors that I’m capable.” Silvia also has her sites set on competing in the new Olympic discipline of slopestyle in 2014.
Weirdest part for Silvia was when they played the German national anthem at the price giving. The funniest part was that on TV they didnt show much snowboarding but the part where Silvia spoke about German nudist beaches. Great!
Peepshow gathered footage from a lot of the ladies in their upcoming movie to put together this edit of strictly park clips. TSG rider Silvia Mittemrüller got a bunch of great closing shots. Check it out now!

Silvia Mittermueller also shares their views on the importance of the TTR Tour for women.
It was a perfect day up on the Dachstein glacier in Schladming, Austria for the 4Star Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam where riders were greeted with bluebird skies, warm weather and light winds. The day kicked off with men’s and women’s slopestyle semi-final rounds in the morning and finished off with finals in the afternoon. TSG rider Elias Elhardt brought his A-game to win for the second consecutive year with his final run in the men’s competition.
ELIAS ELHARDT MOVES INTO TTR TOP 50
With some top riders in attendance in men’s field it turned out to be quite the competition with riders pushing each other throughout the day. Elias Elhardt has been working his way into the spotlight on the TTR tour and won today’s event with a Cab 540, backside 1080 double cork, frontside 900 and a crowd pleasing Cab 180 rock to 360 out on the wallride. With his win today, Elias earned himself a Top 50, spot in the TTR World Rankings.
Silvia Mittermueller caught everybody’s eye during training but unfortunately didn’t make it into finals. “I risked a lot but unfortunately couldn’t land my tricks clean. I am still satisfied with my performance and am now preparing for the season to show full performance in January. My goal is to compete at as many 5 and 6Star events as possible with great results in order to maintain my TOP 10 ranking.”
The competition season in the Northern Hemisphere is gathering momentum and European riders will be converging on the Dachstein glacier in Schladming, Austria this weekend for the 4Star Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam.
