In April 2012, TSG`s freeski lady Caja Schoepf and snowboarder Aline Bock went on a 10-days boat trip to the Lyngen Alps in northern Norway, to escape the crowded skiresorts and to find some untouched powder. Captivated by the open space, stunning landscapes, polar lights and deep blue fjords Caja and Aline decided on a trip that brought together their passions for the mountains and the sea. The Lyngen Alps are located approximately 500 km north of the polar circle set the perfect scene for an unforgettable film and photo trip.
See what the ladies have been up to.

Back in February our team rider Caja Schoepf traveled to India to explore country and culture and ski the Himalayan mountains in Kashmir.
The trip into the unknown started on February 9th, 2011. Caja and Lena Stoffel dared to venture into one of the most exotic and highest ski resorts in the world, the tiny mountain village Gulmarg in the north of India. Gulmarg means „field of flowers“ and is situated in the former Kashmir principality, now being claimed to belong to India, Pakistan and China alike.
While this region is famous for its vivid, untouched nature with an enormous diversity of flowers and animals in summer, it is also known for its harsh winters with a massive amount of snow and dangerous mountains. On a clear day one can see the Nanga Parbat (8.126 m) as well as the K2 (8.611 m) from the mountain station of Apharwat, a more than impressive sight!
Caja and Lena also got to experience the more well-known side of India with Yoga, Curry, lots of sun and esotericism further south in the “Venice of the East”, on romantic house boats on the Dal Lake near Srinagar. Further south the girls got to know the lively city of Delhi that never seems to sleep as well as at the Taj Mahal with its meditative atmosphere.
The project was a real challenge for Caja: „I learned a lot from being the organizer of the trip as well as an athlete, in a country where you get surprised over and over again. I will always remember the experiences made on this trip. Thanks to Felix Urbauer, I think Lena and I managed to realize our goal to take home a trailer with pictures that portray our adventure as
vividly as possible“. Mission accomplished – the result speaks for itself.
More scenes and pictures not included in the trailer can be seen in the new Aestivation movie „Lifelong“ whose premieres are taking place all over Europe right now. More info on: www.aestivation.eu

Caja Schoepf attended the Nine Queens Invitational last week, the No. 1 female freeski event in the world.
Read Caja’s report here:
Last week the biggest only girls invitational, called Nine Queens, was held in Serfaus/ Austria. Nico Zacek and the Schneestern Crew built for us the most amazing obstacle I’ve ever hit. It was not just a Kicker, it was a castle, let’s say “Le Chateau”. With bluebird and sun all week, nice people, great photographers, strong Queens and everything around, the atmosphere was just great.
The Queens, besides the hosting Queen Virginie Faivre, included Kaya Turski, Ashley Battersby, Sarah Burke, Eva Patscheider, Keri Hermann, Maria Bagge, Emma Dahlström, Kim Lamarre, Maude Raymond, Emilia Wint, Anna Segal, 9 years old Kelly Sildaru and myself. The level was really high and you could also see two first switch 1080s of Kaya Turski and Maria Bagge, who also won the comp on Friday.
It was definitely the best event, I’ve ever been invited to and I can’t wait to hit the castle next year again. The pictures and the film material turned out beautiful and we’ll all see a great output. With the Nine Queens Invitational 2011, a high standard in the world of women’s freeskiing was set and will show how strong also the Queens can be.
See you there next week,
Caja

Caja Schöpf is the new TSG team mate of freeskier Bene Mayr; as of now, she will be riding with our helmets and protectors.
Caja has skied professionally since 2004 and is one of Germany’s best female freeskiers today including contest successes in Europe and beyond. In 2009, she became the first female member of the FIAT Freestyle Team, which added to her high profile and recognition. Caja is very disciplined in organizing her life and knows how to combine her studies and sports perfectly. She acts and poses for photo shoots in between and even finds time to organize and supervise camps, such as the Young Blood Girlie Camp on the Zugspitze (mountain).
Caja’s 2010/11 season will involve participating in the most important contests in Europe as well as plenty of shootings to collect high-quality footage for movies and magazines. In addition to this, Caja plans to organize 1 or 2 exotic “girls only” trips but will not yet reveal the destinations.
Caja chose the Lotus women’s snowboard helmet, the TSG back protector and crash pants to protect her on the mountain.
Welcome to the team, Caja!
