Together with the 2 former snowboard pros Jens Anselstetter and Heinz Löhle, Germany´s reigning ‘Rider of the Year’ and TSG pro rider Elias Elhardt has launched the project elooa Camps which will start in the winter season 2011/2012.
The ideology behind elooa Camps is simple, but the concept unique: International snowboard pros, certificated coaches and the founders themselves offer the participants an incredible snowboard weekend including pro coaching, photo shoots and video analysis. The participants will get an interesting insight into the snowboard scene and at the same time profit from the pro’s experience and passion.
“We would like to pass on our expert knowledge as well as enthusiasm for snowboarding and push the individual skills of each single one, no matter if it is about trying your first 180 or stomping a 720″, says Elias Elhardt, who will be joining the first 2 elooa Camps in Hintertux and Stubai.
We are happy to support eelooa Camps and highly recommend you to visit it.
www.elooa.com is online now and the dates for the first 5 elooa Camps are set!
It was ten years back when Elias Elhardt was in Saas Fee, Switzerland with his family and he got to learn the back flip and got soo much into snowboarding he could not stop it anymore.
Together with best friend and TSG ‘s ambassador team rider Friedl May and Saas Fee local hustler Alessandro Boyens this summer was time for an epic revival, check out here how much fun they had shredding the park and every little bumps in between.
Right after we organized a photoshoot with Elias and photographer Carlos Blanchard for next season’s campaign. Big props and thanks to the Saas Fee tourism and cableway offices for support and great hospitality. If you next trip brings you to Switzerland make sure you get some riding in Saas Fee.
SAM PILGRIM: FIRST EUROPEAN EVER ON THE FMB WORLD TOUR PODIUM
The second of 2 Diamond events of this year’s Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour season is over and gives the World Tour a perfect ending. Even before the Red Bull District Ride it was clear that the official FMB World Tour Champion is called Brandon Semenuk (CAN) and would take home the golden CamelBak Better Bottle.
However, the battle for the top 10 spots remained exciting until the end. With his result at the Red Bull District Ride, last year’s FMB World Tour Champion Cameron Zink came a close 2nd. TSG’s Sam Pilgrim’s victory at the Red Bull District Ride lifted him onto the podium of this year’s World Tour. The overall FMB World Tour ranking is now complete and we have an ultimate list of the world’s best freerideers.
At the end of the FMB World Tour, this is the final top ten ranking:
1. Brandon Semenuk
2. Cam Zink
3. Sam Pilgrim
4. Messere Anthony
5. Martin Söderström
6. Cam McCaul
7. Yannick Granieri
8. Greg Watts
9. Darren Berrecloth
10. Kurtis Sorge
The Red Bull District Ride is the most legendary urban freeride event in the world and a truly deserved final for an extremely successful World Tour. The freeriding cream of the crop gathered in Nuremberg, Germany to battle it out on a course of biblical proportions.
And now Nuremberg has a new hero! In beautiful weather, TSG’s Sam Pilgrim delivered a truly impressive run. Our team rider won 1st place at the final event of the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour with over 4 points ahead of Martin Soderstrom (SWE) and over 6 ahead of Brandon Semenuk (CAN). Trick after trick, the 12 riders who qualified for the finals raised the bar of the sport; you just don’t see tricks of these dimensions everyday. When Sam Pilgrim took off from the obstacles, all of Nuremberg held its breath at his performance. At every hit he showed another trick and convinced the jury with his consistently high level of tricks throughout all 6 Districts. It was plain to see that he was thoroughly enjoying the course.

Congrats to our snowboard lady Silvia Mittermueller, taking gold at the New Zealand Winter Games yesterday.
After a challenging season with a dislocated elbow followed by a rolled ankle, Silvia was happy to turn a page today taking the top spot amongst the women.
She attributed her success today in part to a desire to avoid hitting the knuckle and further injuring her ankle. “I knew I had to go big today to avoid injury,” she said. “After a series of injuries and some bad luck I am really happy with today’s results and hope I’ve shown the German national team selectors that I’m capable.” Silvia also has her sites set on competing in the new Olympic discipline of slopestyle in 2014.
Weirdest part for Silvia was when they played the German national anthem at the price giving. The funniest part was that on TV they didnt show much snowboarding but the part where Silvia spoke about German nudist beaches. Great!
Floriane Pugin finished the world cup season 2011 with another 2nd place at the finals in Val di Sole, Italy.
Her incredible consistency also brought her the 2nd place in the overall world cup, 75 Points behind Tracey Moseley.
Floriane looked unbeatable on this track during the whole trainings, but her french mate Miriam Nicole took her first ever world cup win with a total kamikaze run.
Emilie Siegenthaler also attacked hard and made it to another very good 6th place, finishing the world cup overall on 7th.
SCOTT11′s men didn’t have a very good day as Nick Beer came down with a mechanical problem and Fabien Pedemanaud crashed into a tree during his run.
It was a hot and tough week for all the athletes here in Val di Sole. By the time the race started, the track was blown out and extremely rough.
But you all know what comes now:
One more week to go, and then starts what SCOTT11 has been preparing for during the last 3 years. The one thing that the whole mountain bike world has been looking forward to: The world championships on the steepest track in the world in Champéry, Switzerland!
