The new season brings a new FMB World Tour

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

The FMB  World Tour starts into its 3rd season and sees some great new changes: amendments to rider licening, implementation of amateur rankings and athlete’s ability to access FMB World Tour events.

They are going to introduce 2 different athlete license categories: amateur (AM) and professional (PRO), helping young and upcoming riders and enable them to participate in the FMB Word Tour. Riders with AM license will be able to collect ranking points counting towards a European or North American AM ranking list.

Several steps have been taken to regulate the invitation process for FMB World Tour events, to ensure that riders are given the best opportunity to improve their ranking. Diamond and Gold events will be required to guarantee a certain amount of starting places for the the top Pro Riders. Same for Silver and Bronze event, they have to guarantee starting places for PRO and AM riders.

Athletes can register on the FMB World Tour website: http://www.fmbworldtour.com/en/riders/rider-registration.html.

Daniel Wedemeijer bmx edit @ WUB Innsbruck

Thursday, March 15th, 2012

In February 2012 TSG’s Daniel Wedemeijer made his way down south from Amsterdam to Innsbruck (Austria) riding and filming at the new indoor skatepark “WUB”.  It’s definitely the most unconventional BMX video ever.

The Ricardo Laguna Project on MTV Tr3s airs today at 9 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. PT.Official MTV Tr3s.
Imagine moving to a whole new country where you don’t know the language; and the only thing you can relate to are bikes. This is the story of Ricardo Laguna. Emigrating from Mexico to the US at age 13, Ricardo overcame all odds and has become one of today’s premiere BMX world champions (not to mention one of Las Vegas’s hottest bachelors). But with success comes sacrifice, risks and temptation; and juggling it all can be quite the balancing act. Luckily, Ricardo has a close knit support system made up of family and friends that continually keep him grounded. Join him as he stays true to his roots while continuing to make his dream a reality. Welcome to The Ricardo Laguna Project.

Rocket Air Slopestyle in Thun

Wednesday, March 14th, 2012

Rocket Air is getting ready to rock the Ice rink of Thun. After two very successful years, the only FMB Silver Event in Switzerland is moving into its third year. On the 13-14th of April be prepared to witness some of the best mountain bikers from around the world come and compete for a total of 10`500- Swiss Francs in prize money. Some say that Rocket Air is “the event with the best Atmosphere” and this year is not going to be any different!! The recipe for the this “special” atmosphere involves two important ingredients, the first is the up close feeling and the second is that the course is complete surrounded by spectators, literally! Having doubled the amount of spectators last year they are looking to reach the 7000 mark with Rocket Air 2012.

We are proud to support Rocket Air since the beginning. It’s a perfect fit for us in order to promote and push slopestyle in Switzerland.

This year we also do something for the upcoming riders. At the TSG Kids Parcours the next bike generation can test and prove their abilities and most importantly have fun. Bikes in all sizes and TSG kids helmets and protection gear are available.

Watch Sam Pilgrim defending his title from last year and expect Amir Kabbani and more TSG riders to show up.
