As committed partner of the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour we can’t wait for the season to kick-off. The FMBA just announced the FMB World Tour event calendar.
After a successful first season in 2010, the FMB World Tour is ready to start the new season. As was to be expected, event applications were plentiful and the FMBA is happy to announce that this year’s World Tour will have even more events at which riders can collect points for their overall ranking. All in all, 21 events in Europe and North America are taking part in the upcoming tour. One of the tour’s highlights is the final event in Nuremberg. The Red Bull District Ride is coming back after a 5-year break and represents a more than worthy final and occasion for the crowning of the FMB World Tour Champion.

The registered riders will be able to collect points at every event. How many points is determined by the event’s category and, of course, the rider’s result. The rider’s 5 best event results count. Events are divided into bronze, silver, gold and diamond categories depending on a number of criteria such as difficulty level, course design, prize money and judging.
Points will only count if the rider is a registered member of the FMBA – so if you want your results to count towards the overall FMB World Tour ranking don’t forget to register before the tour’s first event: Vienna Air King on April 2nd and 3rd in Austria at http://fmbworldtour.com/2010/member/

Skateistan-the movie won most valuable documentary

Skateistan – Four Wheels and a Board in Kabul won the most valuable documentary of the year from the prestigious Cinema for Peace only 2 weeks after they finished the film.
The award lasted half an hour before an excited bartender inadvertendly pushed it from the bar. Non the less everybody is still thrilled about this amazing honor and all it’s pieces.
Cinema for Peace always takes part during the Berlinale in Berlin without being officially part of the film festival. The event excels movie makers for their social commitment.
It was packed with celebs and was for sure a great communication booster for Skateistan!

Thursday, February 17th, 2011Elias Elhardt shares his new episode of Elias & Friends featuring his first USA trip to the X-Games in Colorado. Although this special trip didn’t end as expected it was for sure a trip that Elias will remember.
Check couple laps in Breckenridge park, some shredding with Mathieu Crepel in Aspen and big air action.

The ExtremeThing “Ricardo Laguna Dirt Challenge” is back! The event in Las Vegas will be bigger and better than ever, hosting now “The Ricardo Laguna Rail Jam”! Ricardo is inviting any street rider to join in on the competition or help being part of the competition! If you have a creative mind you can design the course layout for this years competition!

Welcome to the team Viktor Szigeti

We have added the young hungarian snowboarder Viktor Szigeti to our team. Viktor has been supported by our hungarian distributor since quite a while and is now officially part of our ambassador team.
Viktor just finished with a sensational 1st place at the Plan P contest at Horsefeather Superpark Planai (Qparks Tour 2011).
Viktor rocking the snow parks. He visits the ski sports college in Schladming, Austria, what gives him great opportunities to practice with brilliant coaches. Being a very motivated and positive thinking rooky, Victor is constantly on the road, traveling from contest to contest with photo shoots in between. Victor has already some great sponsors on his side and will prove soon that he can compete with the big names. He is aiming at participating at the X-Games and the Olympic Games in the future.

This documentary film follows Skateistan and its founders through the year 2009, documenting their daily struggle to break down social, gender, and ethnic barriers between the children of a war-torn country. The film also gives an intimate look into the lives of some of these street kids. The documentary film follows them through their daily routines and become witness to the changes in their lives that are triggered by their discovery of skateboarding.
The movie is nominated for most valuable documentary of the year by the Cinema for Peace Foundation.
The film premiere take place on Saturday February 12 at 5p at Radialsystem in Berlin. www.radialsystem.de
