Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

visit snowboardermbm.de and check out what Elias is wearing this coming season.

Read below what he says about his helmet (for german-speaking only):

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

NICK BEE R AND FLORIANE PUGIN ON THE PODIUM AT THE UCI IN WINDHAM.

All or nothing was the style of riding for Nick Beer, and so it was for the rest of the mens field. Nick Beer attacked to the max and made it to the world cup podium for the first time in his life! The fifth place in Windham is also the first world cup podium for Switzerland since 2002! Nick places 12th in the world cup overall.

Floriane Pugin was giving her best to handle the fast and rough course and also made it to the fifth place. She managed to step on the podium at every single race of this years world cup, which puts her onto 4th place in the 2010 world cup!

Fabien Pedemanaud was happy that his shoulder is back in shape and was working on his speed this week. He ended up in 21st place which was good enough to keep him in the top ten overall. Fabien is 9th in the 2010 world cup!

Emilie Siegenthaler had another solid run into her favorite 9th place, which put her into 13th overall position.

With all those great results, SCOTT11 won the world cup finals team ranking. SCOTT11 is placing second in the overall world cup 2010!

The team is now driving to Mont Sainte Anne, Canada, for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010.

UCI MTB World Cup DH in Windham

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Our Scott 11 Team is in Windham now for the UCI World Cup. Read their report below:
“The sun was out today in Windham, but the unusual slippery american dirt made the track really tricky. The riders were having trouble trying to get used to it and finding their rhythm on a track that actually looks quite fast. The weather though is supposed to stay dry which could change the conditions until sunday.

Floriane Pugin and Emilie Siegenthaler were already riding their 2011 Voltage DH frames, and while I’m writing these lines, our mechanics are building the new Gamblers for Fabien Pedemanaud and Nick Beer.”

Some good ranking news: Floriane Pugin moved to the first spot in the UCI world ranking because of her silver medal at the european championships, and
Nick Beer moved to 9th place at the world ranking because of his silver medal.

SILVIA MITTERMÜLLER JOINS TSG TEAM

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

We are happy to welcome snowboarder Silvia Mittermüller to the team. As of now, she will officially be riding with TSG helmet and protectors.

Silvia Mittermüller has been enthusiastic about the design, fit and protection performance of TSG’s safety products for two years. Now we finally sealed this partnership and welcomes Silvia as the new official TSG Snowboard Team member.

Silvia Mittermüller has been snowboarding since 1997 and managed to make a name for herself in the international snowboarding circuit pretty fast. Born and bred in the Alps, Silva spent a lot of time in the USA where she was recognized and admired because of her versatile on-snow skills and unique snowboarding style.

Silvia’s schedule for the next season involves filming and contests and again, a lot of time in the States.

And the contest season kicked off super promising for her. Just last week Silvia finished 4th in the slopestyle competition of the New Zealand Open, and 12th in the pipe. The current BGO (Burton Global Tour) ranking features Silvia as 2nd place while she kicked off the TTR (Ticket To Ride) season with a solid 4th place.

TSG’s motto “Designed by Riders” has already become a live experience for Silvia. Following a relaxed wake surf session at Zürisee (lake Zurich), Silvia found herself designing and developing new ideas for next year’s products together with the TSG R&D team.

Silvia chose the Lotus women’s snowboard helmet, the Big Bear kneeguard and Backbone Trooper back protector to protect her on the mountain.

Welcome to the team, Silvia!

We welcome freeskier Caja Schöpf

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Caja Schöpf is the new TSG team mate of freeskier Bene Mayr; as of now, she will be riding with our helmets and protectors.

Caja has skied professionally since 2004 and is one of Germany’s best female freeskiers today including contest successes in Europe and beyond. In 2009, she became the first female member of the FIAT Freestyle Team, which added to her high profile and recognition. Caja is very disciplined in organizing her life and knows how to combine her studies and sports perfectly. She acts and poses for photo shoots in between and even finds time to organize and supervise camps, such as the Young Blood Girlie Camp on the Zugspitze (mountain).

Caja’s 2010/11 season will involve participating in the most important contests in Europe as well as plenty of shootings to collect high-quality footage for movies and magazines. In addition to this, Caja plans to organize 1 or 2 exotic “girls only” trips but will not yet reveal the destinations.

Caja chose the Lotus women’s snowboard helmet, the TSG back protector and crash pants to protect her on the mountain.

Welcome to the team, Caja!

European Skateboard Championships Review

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

We are back from the European Skateboard Championships in Basel. Thanks to all for passing by.

The 10th edition ended with an unbelievable final in street with 10 amazing skateboarders. One of them was youngster Gard Jenssen Hvaara from Norway, who went all the way from the Junior Champs into the finals and ended on the 9th place. Axel Cruysbergh from Belgium, who was last year’s winner in street and miniramp, earned street’s 2nd place. In 3rd came Kilian Heuberger from Germany doing nose bluntslides down the rail and pole jams on the birthday cake-obstacle. This year’s winner is Nassim Guammaz from the Netherlands doing big back 360’s down the double set.

Aside from the street finals, the 8000 spectators who came to Basel over the weekend to celebrate ESC’s anniversary with us could witness Phil Zwijsen ruling the mini ramp with nice flow and endless lines, taking a well deserved victory. Also, Freddy Austbo came out to show his face, coming back from a long stint of being sidelined by injuries, taking second place right away, and a surprising Symon Stachon from Poland taking third.

Girl’s Jam was won by Ianire Elorriaga from Spain, who had already succeeded getting this title six times in it is ten years of existence. Second place went to Aura Brédat, third to Candy Jacobs from the Netherlands.
