The first day at the Martibor 4x World Cup started with difficult conditions for organizers and participants, as the cable car had to stop because of strong winds. Therefore, the athletes only got to do one practice run in the morning. Another night of heavy rain followed by a morning without rain made sure that this was going to be one of the most difficult world cup races of all times. The scott 11 team athletes handled it like real professionals and stayed focused. Women started first, and Floriane Pugin got the first ever Wolrd Cup Podium for Scott 11. She managed to stay on her Scott Voltage DH Prototype and placed 3rd. Emilie Siegenthaler started her season with a 9th place and is ready to go big this season.
Then, men’s race was on, and Nick Beer showed that he would be back to top speed soon after his wrist injury. He placed 27th. But then came the show of Fabien Pedemanaud. The french fighter flew into 4th place and got Scott 11 another podium.
The two podiums and the top ten result brought Scott 11 the first place in the team ranking!
Congratulations!
