vitalmtb.com: “The TSG dirt jump lids have only been recently available in the States, so I was stoked to get a hold of the new Kraken helmet. This deceivingly technical hard-foam half shell is very comfortable and adjustable. Included are 2 sets of foam pads that velcro in so you can fine tune your fit. The biggest feature of the helmet, however is the Flex Tech design. Most EPS hard foam helmets I try on don’t fit that well or sit really high and awkward on my head. The Kraken’s Flex Tech uses segmented EPS parts connected via thermoplastic joints and a hybrid nylon chassis, so the helmet can adjust to the shape of your head. When I put the helmet on, it went low and snug on my head without any gaps or loose spots. With 14 vents, you’ll stay cool on those hot, shreddable days and the Flat Black color will go with any kit.”

The first day at the Martibor 4x World Cup started with difficult conditions for organizers and participants, as the cable car had to stop because of strong winds. Therefore, the athletes only got to do one practice run in the morning. Another night of heavy rain followed by a morning without rain made sure that this was going to be one of the most difficult world cup races of all times. The scott 11 team athletes handled it like real professionals and stayed focused. Women started first, and Floriane Pugin got the first ever Wolrd Cup Podium for Scott 11. She managed to stay on her Scott Voltage DH Prototype and placed 3rd. Emilie Siegenthaler started her season with a 9th place and is ready to go big this season.
Then, men’s race was on, and Nick Beer showed that he would be back to top speed soon after his wrist injury. He placed 27th. But then came the show of Fabien Pedemanaud. The french fighter flew into 4th place and got Scott 11 another podium.
The two podiums and the top ten result brought Scott 11 the first place in the team ranking!
And again, the winner is Amir Kabbani. After his win last week in Italy, Amir once again dominates the mtb field with backflip tailwhips and 360 tailwhips.
Go Amir!
Ricardo Laguna came all his way from Vegas to compete in Solothurn. He ended up with a 9th place. He is now heading to France for the next european contests.
Read here what Aaron says about it: ”You know, there’s always a catch, right? Red Bull was looking to capture some cool video shots of the MXT in action and challenged me to “think outside the box”. That’s where the infamous “Mr. Stang” comes in. This dude flies remote control planes for a living, that’s almost as crazy as riding a bike for a living. “Mr. Stang” custom built me a plane, “Chase Plane” that would accommodate my Go Pro HD cameras and he was willing to fly that thing into the ground to get the shot. Check out ChaseLife 15 and see the madness for yourself and don’t worry a new plane is already in the works. Check it.”
The BIKE Festival Garda Trentino is the traditional bike season kick-off for mountain bike fans from all over Europe, and 2010 was not exception. 20,000 bikers had travelled to Riva del Garda to celebrate the season opening together last weekend.
The King of Dirt saw ten dirt bikers in the finale performing some fine air acrobatics. In the end, TSG’s Amir Kabbani won the cup. Amir just thrilled the 5,000 spectators crowd and convinced the jury, displaying three spectacular jumps such as backflip tailwhip and 360 tailwhip. Andi Wittmann secured himself second place while Moritz Zapp came in third.
TSG ambassador Simon Kirchmann ended up with a great 4th place.
Alessandro has been shredding up at Woodward camp for the last few weeks. He recently learned this new hot move. This is a 360 windshield whiper the hard way, but they to call it the Italian Job.
